About Hillhouse Contact HillhouseOperaCompany@Gmail.com Beginnings Hillhouse Opera Company (HOC) was founded in August 2008 as a community-based opera company in the greater New Haven, CT area. The organisation grew out of the desire to turn the Hillhouse Opera Project, a project that had been begun in order to produce the opera Don Giovanni, into a more continuous base of support for community-based operatic productions. Non-Profit HOC is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Mission The Mission of the Hillhouse Opera Company is two-fold: 1. To produce and promote opera in the wider community. 2. To promote community through opera.
