Audition for the Hillhouse Opera Company

Hillhouse Opera Company (HHOC) of New Haven, CT announces open auditions for tenors, baritones, basses and chorus members on Sunday, June 5 from 2-6pm at the Neighborhood Music School of New Haven for La Boheme to be performed November 11-13, 2011. The auditions will also be used to identify singers for other company events including concerts, Master Classes, festivals and future mainstage productions.

To request an audition please E-mail either a photo, resume and a bio or a link to a website that has your current materials on it to hillhouseoperacompany@gmail.com. Local artists are especially encouraged to send materials. There is an audition fee of $10, payable at the door. The fee is waived for current members of the Company.

Please prepare at least 2 arias of contrasting style, preferably one of which is in Italian.

HHOC is unable to provide compensation for housing, travel or any other expenses and requires its mainstage cast members to each raise at least $100 in advertising or donations to help cover the cost of the mainstage production.
